Organization Overview
The Compassion Protestant Society (CPS) is the diaconal arm of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon (NESSL), established to extend the church’s witness beyond its walls into the life of communities. Operating across Lebanon and Syria, CPS embraces a Triple Nexus approach, integrating humanitarian response, development, and peacebuilding. It intentionally lives at the intersection of professional excellence and faithful mission—upholding humanitarian standards while remaining rooted in its Christian calling. In doing so, CPS seeks to serve with compassion, integrity, and hope, bearing witness to Christ through both word and action.
Mission
CPS seeks the holistic restoration of individuals and communities in Syria and Lebanon by responding to human suffering, nurturing human potential, and contributing to lasting peace and transformation through contextually grounded initiatives shaped by strong ethical values and a commitment to service.
Vision
CPS envisions individuals and communities in Syria and Lebanon flourishing in dignity, hope, and abundant life.
